The subject of the 1st CGS Summer School are forms and development level of selforganisation of modern societies. The aim is to study the extent to which civil society influences processes of norm creation, conflict design and preservation of tolerance. It concerns societies created in national way being in a process of modernisation. Another aim is to analyze the extent to which civil society serves as a constructive and regulative element of functionality of modern societies.

A Bécsi Egyetem Európai és Összehasonlító Nyelv- és Irodalomtudományi Intézetének Finnugor Tanszéke és a Nyugat-magyarországi Egyetem szombathelyi Savaria Egyetemi Központjának Uralisztikai Tanszéke közös nyári egyetemet szervez osztrák ill. magyar egyetemi és főiskolai hallgatók számára, akik magyar/német nyelvtudásukat szeretnék fejleszteni. Az ösztöndíjakra a magyar hallgatók közül a nem német szakos, első diplomájukat szerző (elsősorban nappali tagozatos) hallgatók pályázhatnak.
Mivel a nyári egyetem nem csupán egy nyelvkurzus, hanem nagy hangsúlyt helyezünk a közös programokra, a tanórán kívüli együtt tanulásra, olyan hallgatók jelentkezését várjuk, aki a közösség együttes tevékénységében aktívan részt kívánnak venni.

- Historical Philosophy of Science
Summer school at the University of Pécs, Hungary 25th-29th June, 2012.
The summer school is intended for postgraduate and advanced undergraduate students, and offers lectures and seminars on early modern topics relevant for the philosophy of science. The lecturers and topics are as follows
- Prof. Giora Hon (Haifa), Kepler and the Renaissance
- Prof. Steffen Ducheyne (Brussels), Descartes and Newton
- Dr. Axel Gelfert (Singapore), Hobbes, Locke, Hume
- Dr. Gábor Zemplén (Budapest), Goethe and Romanticism
- Dr. Falk Wunderlich (Mainz), Kant
The outlines of the choreography: Each day will begin with a guest lecturer's talk, and then a seminar follows based on the talk and pre-circulated material. At the end of the morning session, the participants will organize themselves into small teams focusing on some specific question of the given topic. The teams will be expected to prepare a presentation (to develop a position, or argue against one etc.) Then lunch. In the first half of the afternoon the teams will be preoccupied with preparing their presentations, and in the second half they present their work.
Pécs was Cultural Capital of Europe in 2010. The city has a lively cultural atmosphere. The historic city centre, a newly built concert hall, the Kodály Centre, and the nearby Villány wine region offer several possibilities for extracurricular activities.
No tuition fee. ECTS credits will be granted. Participants will be offered assistance in finding suitable accommodation.

Cukorhegy díj
A Myrtis Creative közösségi média területre specializálódott reklámügynökség 2012-ben megalapította a „Cukorhegy" díjat, melyre felsőoktatási intézmények diákjai jelentkezhetnek közösségi média marketing és kommunikáció témában készített szakdolgozatukkal. A díjjal az a célunk, hogy a diákok körében is népszerűbbé váljon a közösségi média, és egyre több fiatal, hazai szakember kerüljön ki a felsőoktatásból ezen a területen is, és kezdjen el behatóan foglalkozni a témával.

The Assembly of European Regions is the political organisation of the regions of Europe and a representative of their interests at the European and international levels. Its mission: to defend the interests of the regions in the political process and to develop interregional cooperation. 270 Regions from 33 countries and 16 interregional organisations are members of the AER.
